Decision Guide · Question 3 of 3
Are you willing to plan ahead a little?
You don’t want to arrive home with a very low state of charge.
Before you get home, think about what you’ll need the car for the next day and make sure you’re comfortable with the charge you’ll have available. That may mean charging while you’re already out rather than waiting until the next time you leave home.
Charging while you’re already out has another practical advantage.
Fast charging generally works better when the battery is already warm from driving. Charging while you’re already out can therefore be more efficient than leaving home later with a cold battery solely to go charge.
Think about tomorrow before you get home today.
